A Quick Block locks the apps you choose for a set time, starting now. Use it when you want to step away from something for a while.

Start a Quick Block

  1. On Home, tap the lightning bolt at the top of the screen.

  2. Tap Apps to block and choose a folder, or make a new one.

  3. Set the time. You can pick anything from 15 to 90 minutes, in 5-minute steps. It starts at 30 minutes and remembers your last choice.

  4. Under Difficulty, choose Soft or Hard.

  5. Tap Start Quick Block.

Only one Quick Block runs at a time. It keeps going after you close Slow Time Club, and the lightning bolt on Home shows the time left. You can also start one from the Quick Block widget.

While it's running

  • Soft: tap PAUSE to take a break, and RESUME to lock the apps again. To end the block early, tap STOP, then Delete block. Tap I'm Staying if you change your mind.

  • Hard: there's no stop. You can tap PAUSE to take a short break, and RESUME to lock the apps again, but the block only ends when the timer runs out. Choose Hard only when you're sure.
