How do I end a Focus Session early?

End a Soft session for today with End Session. A Hard session runs until its scheduled end.

You can end a Soft Focus Session for today with End Session. It comes back on its next scheduled day. A Hard session can't be ended early and stops at its scheduled end time.

End a Soft session for today

  1. On Home, tap the Focus Sessions card, then tap the running session.

  2. The End Session button counts down from 10 seconds first. That pause gives you a moment to change your mind.

  3. Tap End Session. The apps unlock.

This only ends the session for today. Your schedule stays the same, and the session starts again on its next day.

Changed your mind? Tap Resume Session to turn it back on for the rest of today.

If you only need a few minutes, tap Take a break instead. The apps lock again when the break is over.

Hard sessions

A running Hard session has no End Session button. You can still tap Take a break for a few minutes, but you can't edit or delete the session until it ends. That's what makes it Hard.
