What's on the block screen?

What the block screen says, what OKAY and TAKE A BREAK do, and why it can't open Slow Time Club.

When you open a blocked app, you see Slow Time Club's block screen instead. It shows a short line of text, which changes from time to time, and a note like "Slow Time Club is keeping Instagram closed for now."

The buttons

  • OKAY closes the blocked app.

  • TAKE A BREAK starts a break straight away, using your break length from Profile. You'll get a "Break started" notification, and the apps lock again when the break ends.

TAKE A BREAK only appears for Soft blocks. While any Hard block is running, it's hidden on every block screen, even for apps that only a Soft block covers. During a Hard block, take your break from inside Slow Time Club instead. A break also needs at least 15 minutes left in the block.

When an App Limit is reached

The block screen says That's it for today and tells you the app opens again at midnight. There's only an OKAY button, because App Limits don't have breaks.

Why can't I open Slow Time Club from here?

Apple doesn't let block screens open other apps, ours included. To change a block, open Slow Time Club from your Home Screen.
