Slow Time Club only sends notifications about your breaks, plus a short confirmation when you subscribe. The most useful one tells you when a break is over, so we suggest keeping them on.

What you'll see

  • Break started, when you start a break from the block screen. It says how long the break lasts.

  • A break's-over message, when a break ends and your apps lock again. The wording changes from time to time.

  • No break this time, if you tap TAKE A BREAK with less than 15 minutes of the block left. Breaks need at least 15 minutes remaining.

  • Subscription Successful, once, when you subscribe.

That's the full list for now.

Turn notifications on

We ask for permission soon after you first reach Home. If you said no, or want to check:

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications → Slow Time Club.

  2. Turn on Allow Notifications.

You can get there from Slow Time Club too. Tap the star icon at the top left of Home to open Profile, then tap Notifications.

Without notifications

Your blocks and breaks still work. You just won't hear when a break ends. If your apps don't lock again after a break, open Slow Time Club and it will put things right.
