I can't delete apps or change the date and time

That's Uninstall protection. It turns on by itself during a Hard block, and you can switch it on or off in Profile.

This is Uninstall protection. While it's on, iPhone won't let you delete apps, and it keeps the date and time set automatically. It turns on by itself during a Hard block. You can also turn it on yourself in Profile.

We do this so a block stays a real block. Otherwise, deleting an app or moving the clock forward would be an easy way round it.

Check why it's on

Tap Profile (the star icon at the top left of Home) and look at the Uninstall protection card.

  • On · Auto-enabled during hard blocks. A Hard block is running. Protection lifts by itself when the block ends. For a Hard Focus Session, that's when its scheduled time is over. It stays on during breaks.

  • On · Your apps can't be uninstalled. You turned it on. If no Hard block is running, tap the card, then tap Disable protection.

  • Off · Your apps can be uninstalled. Protection should be off. See the steps below.

Protection covers every app on your iPhone, not only the ones you've blocked. That's how Apple's setting works.

If it's still on after your Hard block ended

  1. Open Slow Time Club and wait a few seconds on Home, so it can recheck your blocks.

  2. Check the Uninstall protection card in Profile again.

  3. Restart your iPhone.

If that doesn't clear it, contact us and we'll help.
