Most blocking problems go away when you open Slow Time Club and wait a few seconds on the Home screen. If that doesn't fix it, work through the steps below in order. If none of them help, contact us and we'll look into it with you.
First, check your plan. If the free week ends without a subscription, blocks pause until you subscribe. Nothing is deleted. Tap Profile (the star icon at the top left of Home) to check. See What happens when my free week ends?
The checklist
Open Slow Time Club and wait a few seconds on Home. Every time it opens, it checks each block, break and limit against the clock and fixes anything that's out of step.
Check Screen Time is on and Slow Time Club is allowed.
Go to Settings → Screen Time. If you see Turn On App & Website Activity, tap it.
Settings → Screen Time → Apps With Screen Time Access → Slow Time Club should be on.
Restart your iPhone. This clears stuck background tasks and leftover block screens.
Update iOS and Slow Time Club. For iOS, go to Settings → General → Software Update. For Slow Time Club, find it in the App Store and tap Update if you see it.
Turn on notifications: Settings → Notifications → Slow Time Club → Allow Notifications. The "Break's over" reminder is your backup if iPhone is late.
Turn off Low Power Mode during important blocks: Settings → Battery → Low Power Mode. This may help on some phones.
Keep the date and time automatic: Settings → General → Date & Time → Set Automatically.
Check for other blockers. Look at Apple's App Limits and Downtime in Settings → Screen Time, and at any other blocker apps. We can only lift our own blocks.
Pick apps again if their icons are blank in the block, folder or limit that's misbehaving.
Please don't delete and reinstall Slow Time Club to fix a problem. Your blocks, folders and limits are saved only on your phone, so you'd lose them.
If it's something specific
Why this happens
Sorry this happened. iPhone doesn't let any app switch other apps off directly. Slow Time Club has to ask Apple's Screen Time system to do it, and iPhone decides when our blocking code gets to run. Usually that's on time. Sometimes it's late, and other screen-time apps see the same thing. Opening Slow Time Club catches up straight away.
